San Antonio: Roland Malone is a 2nd Degree Black Belt under 8th Degree Red/Black Belt Pedro Sauer. Roland began training in Gracie Jiu-Jitsu while stationed in Naval Hospital GTMO, Cuba in 1998. After a year of training he moved to San Diego, CA where trained under Carlos Valente. From Southern California he headed east to Naval Medical Center Bethesda, MD where he trained for 5 years before being stationed in Rota Spain in 2005. In 2006, Roland became a student and friend of Pedro Sauer, and is now part of the Pedro Sauer Brazilian Jiu-jitsu Association.
When he is not teaching Jiu-Jitsu, Roland is a healthcare professional in San Antonio, TX. Roland does seminars frequently throughout the U.S. at other affiliated academy's. In addition to sport Jiu-Jitsu, Roland is highly skilled in applied Jiu-Jitsu self-defense for the street.
